RELAX IN CHARMING AMBIANCE

About the Owners

Proprietors, Doug and Roxy Kasman, made their dream of owning a Bed & Breakfast come true in November 2011.  After  30 years in Spokane, Washington, their children, Kyle and Emily, encouraged them to shake up their lives and give “island time” a try. Doug worked as an architect for 30 years doing primarily commercial projects like schools, recreational facilities, and higher education buildings.
Roxy, a CPA, was Controller/Associate Controller at Gonzaga University for 15 years. Prior to that she spent 10 years in Public Accounting.  Son, Kyle, is a commerical loan officer at Banner Bank.  Daughter, Emily, is a wellness director for a start-up company & yoga instructor throughout the Seattle area. All four have degrees from Gonzaga University and are avid fans of the Zags, Gonzaga’s basketball teams.

Our family has grown by 3 - Allison (Kyle's wife), Cole (their son), and Sean (Emily's husband) are additions to our family since we arrived on the Island . Doug’s hobbies include wood-working, gardening, and searching the beaches for driftwood for various projects.    Roxy loves to read, cook, and entertain. The Kasmans look forward to meeting the wonderful Kirk House guests, and helping them enjoy all that Friday Harbor and the San Juan Island have to offer.

About the Bed & Breakfast

Picture
The Kirk House is a 1907 craftsman-style home that was purchased in 1914 by Seattle industrialist, Peter Kirk, for a summer retreat. Located just 4-5 blocks from the Friday Harbor ferry terminal, the Kirk House provides close access to one-of-a-kind shopping, wildlife and bird watching excursions, kayaking adventures, and many restaurants located in the town of Friday Harbor.

Enjoy the simple pleasures at the Kirk House Bed & Breakfast - relax in our parlor in front of the fireplace, read a book, drink a glass of wine or a cup of tea, or even indulge in a nap on the wraparound veranda on a warm island day.
